VEDALAB is a French diagnostics company devoted to the development, production and distribution of in vitro immunodiagnostic rapid tests, and is the largest manufacturer of rapid tests in Europe.

VEDALAB’s headquarters, its research and development, manufacturing and marketing departments are all located in a modern, well-equipped and expanding (4,500 m²) ISO 13485:2016 certified facility in the beautiful Normandy town of Alençon, France.

In March 2026, J R Biomedical transferred the assembly of their SELFCHECK brand of self-testing kits to VEDALAB, who also manufacture the lateral flow devices used in SELFCHECK tests, in order to focus on R&D.
