The SwimCount Sperm Quality Test from Motility Count ApS, is a self-testing kit for the detection of progressive motile sperm cells (PMSCs) in a semen sample. The test is designed to be used in private at home and provides a result within a total of 1 hour (30 minutes preparation + 30 minutes test time). The test is based on the 'swim-up' principle to detect healthy, motile sperm cells, and provides more information on the likelihood of conception compared to lateral flow tests that just estimate the total sperm count.
